Saint Emilion (40 mins by car)

Spread over 112,000 hectares, the largest and oldest region in the world for fine wines is home to 65 appellations and 7000 winemakers,





Aubeterre sur Dronne (30 mins by car)

Listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. The village possesses a remarkable historic building: the Saint-Jean monolithic church, an underground church carved out of the rock in the 12th century by the Benedictines. In the summer, the sandy beach along the River Dronne, below the village, is the perfect place for relaxing and swimming.


Lac de Gurson (25 mins by car)

Offers something for all the family in a natural recreational area. A children's playground and picnic areas are available all year round. In July and August lifeguards are present at the lake as are various other holiday attractions such as pony rides, archery and kayaks.


Lac de La Jemaye (25 mins by car)

Lac Jemaye is a large natural lake surrounded by woodland. Great for families of all ages with lifeguards during the summer season, a large beach with fine white sand, 2 cafes (both serve food, drinks & ice creams, a restaurant, volleyball, children’s playground, toilets & outside showers.


Périgueux (60 mins by car)

Capital of the Périgord, Périgueux is a City of Art and History possessing an important historic heritage, with its ancient Gallo-Roman town and its medieval and Renaissance old town. Situated on the Way of St James (Santiago de Compostela pilgrim route), the SaintFront cathedral of Byzantine style is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
